How to get a Student Visa for Australia

 Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) - Is a measure to determine that you are here for studying motives and not another reason. However, you can accompany a spouse or child for the purposes of acting as a guardian.

  1. Financial requirements –

  1. English Proficiency Requirement –

As part of Australian University requirements, students must provide evidence as to their level of English proficiency. An exemption to that if they have studied for more than 5 years in the following countries , Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland According to the DIBP website here is the list of 5 English Tests accepted for student Visa applications

  1. International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  2. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) internet-based test (paper-based test is accepted from limited countries)
  3. Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)
  4. Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic
  5. Occupational English Test (OET).

Part of getting your Visa approved is proving you are in good health which is done by taking a medical examination. (Applicable if you intend to train as a doctor, dentist or nurse).
